About

0abx is a personal blog about self-hosted software. It covers which stacks actually hold up in day-to-day use, what they cost to run, and which ones are not worth the weekend you would spend setting them up.

The focus is narrow on purpose: a small number of services, running on hardware you own, with backups that work. Posts are written after actually running the setup, not from release notes.

What you will find here

• Starter stacks — the four or five services that cover most of what a household needs.
• Cost breakdowns — power draw, storage, and what a small box really costs per year.
• Failure notes — what broke, why, and what replaced it.
